We’re a broad team of experts who each come with their own unique skills, but are united through a hunger to craft new and meaningful experiences for people. Our need is for a designer with expert skills in motion graphics, animation, film/video and editing. Beyond technical expertise, the role calls for an ambitious, creative specialist with the vision to express brand through motion and dynamic storytelling.

What you’ll do…

  • Create content across multiple projects, using your skills in motion graphics (2 & 3D), editing, animation, sound design or any new and relevant tool, format or practice.
  • Help conceptualize and storyboard with the larger design team, bringing expertise in the motion medium to achieve strategic and creative excellence.
  • Create high-quality motion content for both our internal efforts and for clients across a diverse range of industries & target audiences.
  • Produce strong conceptual and expressive animations that are engaging and reflect a cohesive brand experience.
  • Meet multiple deadlines, prioritize work, and keep projects moving forward.
  • Strong emphasis on post-production work and editing.
  • Working knowledge of industry trends, innovation, and best practices

What you’ll need…

  • 4+ years of motion design experience.
  • Excellent understanding of design, a passion for storytelling and an ambition to help craft world-class work that informs how brands will behave, engage, and interact with their audiences.
  • Proficiency with CG tools including Cinema4D and/or Maya and render tools such as Redshift and/or V-Ray.
  • Ability to model, texture, light, and render scenes.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop Illustrator and After Effects.
  • Critical thinking skills that allow you to convey your distinct point of view, challenging and inspiring us all to be better.
  • Creative drive, sparked by the needs of our clients, their ask, and how to work flexibly within the parameters of any specific scope of work.
  • Self-motivation to grow– actively seeking ‘better’ through new skills, tools and experiences.
  • An eye for small details and a passion for big ideas.
  • The flexibility to apply your skills across a number of challenges, projects and tools while continually keeping an eye towards creating strategically sound and technically sophisticated work.

What you’ll do…

Start with insight

  • As an antenna for outside inspiration, bring new thinking and curiosity into the studio and every project you touch.
  • Interpret client asks and translate creative briefs into impactful creative execution.
  • Bring an intimate awareness of contemporary trends, and the critical channels through which brands connect with their audiences today.
  • Use a quantitative understanding of consumer metrics to guide concept development and to bring an objective point-of-view to creative decisions.
  • Armed with keen market insights and working knowledge of the latest platforms, build a strategic framework that will allow our work to have the highest possible impact.
  • Understand and translate a brand vision and voice consistently through multiple media channels.

Develop concepts

  • Engage and inspire others as a true creative lead. Elevate creative exploration, innovation, and execution across all projects.
  • As an ambitious idea-generator, help take our work to new levels with inspiring vision and a high degree of taste.
  • During the progression of a project, lead the development and refinement of the core concept via workshops, critiques and feedback reviews.
  • Consider all the relevant platforms where the content we create should exist. Develop a perspective not only about what we’re saying, but how and where we’ll be delivering it.
  • Demonstrate an interest and ability to work directly with clients as a project lead when appropriate. Understand the nuances of acting as a trusted advisor to our clients.
  • Deliver strategic system thinking through complex end-to-end programs.
  • Present to internal and external teams as a true expert in your discipline. Use compelling presentations to clearly and convincingly communicate your vision and the plan for how to execute it.

Technical Skills

  • As an Art Director, you will bring story and strategy together. You will start with big ideas, but also be responsible for building consensus and building a feasible plan for where and how the big idea gets executed.
  • Be responsible for the quality and completeness of any work that you and your team put out into the world.
  • Exhibit strong graphic design skills. An astute grasp of typography, composition, color, and layout.

What you’ll need…

  • At least 7+ years design experience within an agency setting, including at least 4 years of experience creating campaign and content-based work for a brand agency.
  • A portfolio of work demonstrating experience that’s relevant to the role and the work we do.
  • High competency of brand and the role it plays in developing successful creative solutions.
  • Strong work ethic with a steady ambition for elevating the quality of the work our studio produces.
  • A devotion to your craft, both in theory and execution.
  • A drive to meet the needs of our clients, help them achieve their goals, and to work flexibly within the parameters of any specific ask.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and in building client-facing presentations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires multitasking and managing shifting priorities.

We’ll ask for you to…

  • Manage multiple clients and support the growth and health of each client and their business by building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Seek out and develop new business opportunities with existing clients and as well as prospective clients.
  • Developing a thorough knowledge of client industries, business, and key stakeholders. Develop an industry POV and strong understanding of shifts and opportunities in the competitive agency landscape.
  • Understand client business and marketing objectives and ensure the client's needs and requirements are represented during brief and proposal development.
  • Lead the development of proposals/statements of work (SOW), demonstrating a thorough understanding of the proposed plan and getting all appropriate internal stakeholders sign off.
  • Participate in new business pitches and RFP development.
  • Establishing efficient communication channels and liaising between key clients and internal departments.
  • Respond to clients in a timely fashion and ensure client and internal teams are made aware of relevant project updates/information.
  • Recommend and implement ways to improve the management of key client relationships.
  • Work with the program manager team to maintain client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is aligned to the brief, as well as on time, and on budget.
  • Inspire and mentor the team, provide a point of contact for any client matters that need support.
  • Working cross-functionally with the management team.
  • Participate in weekly team and resource management meetings

  • Be the primary client point of contact regarding project-related topics.
  • Be responsible for the development and ongoing communication of timeline, scope,
  • Able to assist leadership and business development in pursuit of new opportunities with existing or new client relationships.
  • Lead development of proposals/statements of work (SOW) demonstrating a thorough understanding of the proposed plan and getting all appropriate leadership approvals before delivery to client.
  • Able to draft an estimate based on the SOW. This includes identifying the team, and hours needed to complete the deliverables.
  • Be the internal leader of the project team, responsible for establishing clear lines of communication for all aspects of the project.
  • Play a critical role in executing project work that meets our quality expectations, partnering closely with creative and studio leadership.
  • Work on highly complex projects or across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Anticipate and deftly navigate people, schedule, scope, and budget challenges.
  • Be responsible for the success of the project.
  • Understand the financial implication of each project’s budget; track the progress against those budgets and to advise on invoicing and project status.
  • Identify, suggest, and implement meaningful process improvements both for yourself and the broader team.
  • Be an expert with Asana, or other project management tools that make all of our jobs easier and more productive.
  • Work with the program manager team to maintain client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is aligned to the brief, as well as on time, and on budget.
